Pocket Door Mirror Closet - Just a few months back I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing in a weird angle. It was the first time I had ran into this type of situation and was undoubtedly lost. I started looking inside the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had trouble finding the issue but when I did it was clear.
There is not any method as it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing to attain the screw.
To be able to repair the pocket door issue, I would have to remove a great sized area of the plastered wall in the upper right hand corner of the pocket door frame. It was the sole thing I could think of and would require a wall patch that is simple and some paint to really make the repair whole. This job took me about one hour to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out of the pocket door track. Then I use some fast setting drywall plaster plus some fiberglass drywall tape to fix the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door problems are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have problems falling and eventually are left shut, never to be properly used again. Painting the doors over and over again can in fact increase the thickness of the door or the door to swell keeping it from opening properly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the house over long periods of time.
