Sugatsune Pocket Door Edge Pull - Just a couple of months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was closing in a weird angle. This is the first time I'd ran into this sort of situation and was undoubtedly lost. I got a flashlight and started looking in the pocket door frame. I had difficulty discovering the problem but when I did it was noticeable.
There is no method to achieve the screw as it was at that back of the pocket door frame close to the framing.
In order to fix the pocket door problem, I was really going to need to remove a great sized area of the plastered wall in the upper right hand corner of the pocket door frame. This is the only thing I really could think of and would require a wall patch that is simple plus some paint to help make the repair whole. Then I use some quick setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to repair the wall. This took another hour to complete the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door issues are a little more easy to fix than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have issues falling and eventually are left shut, never to be properly used again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the depth of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time can also make the door to swell preventing it from opening correctly.
