Unique Pocket Door Handles - Just a couple of months ago I went over to repair a pocket door that was shutting at a weird angle. This is the very first time I had ran into this sort of scenario and was definitely lost. I got a torch and began looking in the pocket door frame. I had a hard time discovering the issue but when I did it was apparent.
The base of the door would stick out about an inch and a half as the pocket door was skidding closed it would work flawlessly but when you went to open it. The trouble turned out to be as the door slid back to the framework the tracking would hang down at an angle from the weight of the doorway and the track was missing a screw in the rear that was very. There is no approach to reach the screw because it had been at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing.
This is the only real thing I would require a wall patch that is simple and could think of plus some paint to help make the repair whole. This job took me to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out of the pocket door track. I then use some fast setting drywall plaster plus some fiberglass drywall tape to fix the wall. This took another hour to finish the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have difficulties falling and eventually are left closed, never to be properly used again. Painting the doors over and over again can in fact add to the thickness of the door or excessive moisture in the house over long amounts of time also can cause the doorway to swell preventing it from opening correctly.
