Kv Pocket Door Hardware 8091 - Just a couple of months back I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing at a strange angle. This was the first time I'd ran into this type of situation and was definitely lost. I began looking in the pocket door frame and got a flashlight. I had a hard time finding the issue but when I did it was evident.
The trouble turned out to be as the door slid back into the framework the tracking would hang down at an angle from the weight of the doorway and the track was missing a screw in the very rear. There was not any approach to achieve the screw because it had been at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing.
This was the sole thing I would require a simple wall patch and could think of and a few paint to help make the repair whole. I then use some fiberglass drywall tape and some fast setting drywall plaster to fix the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have troubles falling and eventually are left shut, never to be used again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the thickness of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time may also cause the doorway to swell preventing it from opening properly.
