Door Pockets Land Cruiser - Just a couple of months back I went over to fix a pocket door that was shutting in a strange angle. It was the very first time I'd ran into this sort of situation and was definitely confused. I started looking in the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had trouble discovering the problem but when I did it was noticeable.
The bottom of the door would stick out about an inch and a half passed the door jam as the pocket door was slipping shut it would work flawlessly but when you went to open it. There was not any way to reach the screw since it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing itself.
It was the sole thing I would require an easy wall patch and could think of and a few paint to help make the repair complete. Then I use some fast setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to repair the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little easier to fix than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have difficulties falling and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually increase the thickness of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time also can make the door to swell preventing it from opening properly.
