Swing Open Pocket Door - Just a couple of months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was shutting in a strange angle. This was the first time I had ran into this sort of situation and was undoubtedly lost. I got a flashlight and began looking inside the pocket door frame. I had trouble discovering the issue but when I did it was apparent.
The issue turned out to be the track was missing a screw in the very rear so that as the door slid back into the frame the tracking would hang down at an angle in the weight of the door. There is not any approach since it absolutely was at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing itself, to attain the screw.
This was the only real thing I could think of and would require a straightforward wall patch plus some paint to really make the repair whole. This job took me to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out from the pocket door path. I then use some fast setting drywall plaster plus some fiberglass drywall tape to correct the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little more easy to fix than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have troubles sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually increase the depth of the door or the door to swell keeping it from opening correctly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the home over long amounts of time.
