Exterior Glass Pocket Sliding Doors - Just a couple of months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was closing at a strange angle. This was the first time I'd ran into this sort of scenario and was definitely confused. I got a flashlight and started looking in the pocket door frame. I had a hard time discovering the issue but when I did it was clear.
There is not any way to reach the screw because it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing itself.
As a way to fix the pocket door issue, I was really going to need to remove a great sized area of the plastered wall at the top right hand corner of the pocket door frame. This was the sole thing I could think of and would require a wall patch that is simple and a few paint to make the repair whole. I then use some quick setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to repair the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little easier to fix than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have difficulties sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be used again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the thickness of the door or the doorway to swell keeping it from opening properly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time.
