Pocket Door Flush Pull Hardware - Just a couple of months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was shutting in a weird angle. This is the very first time I'd ran into this sort of situation and was undoubtedly confused. I began looking inside the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had difficulty finding the problem but when I did it was apparent.
The difficulty turned out to be as the door slid back to the framework the tracking would hang down at an angle from the weight of the doorway and the course was missing a screw in the very rear. There clearly was no method to achieve the screw because it had been at that very back of the pocket door frame close to the framing.
This is the only thing I could think of and would require a wall patch that is simple and some paint to make the repair whole. Then I use some fiberglass drywall tape and some fast setting drywall plaster to mend the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door problems are a little more easy to fix than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have problems sliding and eventually are left closed, never to be properly used again. Painting the doors over and over again can in fact increase the depth of the door or the doorway to swell preventing it from opening correctly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the house over long amounts of time.
