Motorized Pocket Door Opener - Just a couple months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was shutting in a peculiar angle. This is the very first time I'd ran into this type of situation and was definitely lost. I began looking within the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had a hard time discovering the issue but when I did it was apparent.
The bottom of the door would stick out about an inch and a half, as the pocket door was sliding closed it would work perfectly but when you went to open it. There is no way since it absolutely was at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing, to achieve the screw.
This is the only thing I really could think of and would require a straightforward wall patch plus some paint to really make the repair whole. I then use some quick setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to correct the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little more easy to fix than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have difficulties sliding and eventually are left closed, never to be properly used again. Painting the doors over and over again can in fact add to the depth of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time can also cause the door to swell keeping it from opening properly.
