Fixing Pocket Door Track - Just a couple months back I went over to repair a pocket door that was shutting in a strange angle. This was the first time I'd ran into this kind of scenario and was definitely confused. I started looking in the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had a hard time finding the issue but when I did it was apparent.
There was not any approach to reach the screw since it had been at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing.
This was the only thing I would require an easy wall patch and could think of plus some paint to make the repair whole. This job took me to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out of the pocket door path. Then I use some fast setting drywall plaster plus some fiberglass drywall tape to fix the wall. This took another hour to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have difficulties sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be used again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually increase the thickness of the door or excessive moisture in the house over long amounts of time also can cause the door to swell keeping it from opening properly.
