Oversized Pocket Door Frame - Just a couple of months back I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing in a weird angle. This was the very first time I'd ran into this sort of situation and was definitely lost. I started looking within the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had difficulty finding the issue but when I did it was clear.
The bottom of the door would stick out about an inch and a half as the pocket door was sliding shut it would work perfectly but when you went to open it. There clearly was not any strategy because it was at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing to achieve the screw.
This was the sole thing I could think of and would require a straightforward wall patch plus some paint to help make the repair complete. I then use some fast setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to mend the wall. This took another hour to complete the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little more easy to repair than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have troubles sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the depth of the door or the door to swell keeping it from opening correctly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the house over long periods of time.
