Bathroom Pocket Door Hardware Pulls Locks - Just a few months ago I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing in a strange angle. This was the first time I'd ran into this sort of scenario and was definitely lost. I began looking in the pocket door frame and got a torch. I had difficulty discovering the problem but when I did it was evident.
The trouble turned out to be as the door slid back to the frame the tracking would hang down at an angle from the weight of the doorway and the course was missing a screw in the back that was very. There is no approach as it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing itself, to reach the screw.
In order to correct the pocket door trouble, I would need to remove an excellent sized area of the plastered wall in the top right hand corner of the pocket door frame. This was the sole thing I could think of and would require a wall patch that is simple plus some paint to really make the repair complete. This job took me to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen from the pocket door track. I then use some fiberglass drywall tape and some quick setting drywall plaster to fix the wall. This took another hour to complete the drywall properly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little more easy to repair than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have troubles sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can in fact increase the depth of the door or the doorway to swell keeping it from opening properly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the house over long periods of time.
