Mortise Pocket Door Keyed Lockset - Just a couple months ago I went over to fix a pocket door that was shutting in a weird angle. This is the first time I'd ran into this type of scenario and was undoubtedly confused. I began looking in the pocket door frame and got a flashlight. I had difficulty finding the issue but when I did it was apparent.
There clearly was not any approach as it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing to reach the screw.
This is the sole thing I really could think of and would require an easy wall patch plus some paint to really make the repair whole. This job took me about one hour to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out of the pocket door path. I then use some fiberglass drywall tape and some fast setting drywall plaster to repair the wall. This took another hour to finish the drywall properly.
Some pocket door difficulties are a little easier to fix than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have difficulties sliding and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the depth of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time may also make the doorway to swell preventing it from opening properly.
