48 Single Pocket Door - Just a couple months back I went over to repair a pocket door that was shutting in a bizarre angle. This was the first time I had ran into this sort of scenario and was definitely lost. I got a torch and started looking within the pocket door frame. I had trouble finding the problem but when I did it was clear.
There is no solution as it had been at that back of the pocket door frame near the framing, to reach the screw.
This was the only real thing I would require a simple wall patch and really could think of and a few paint to help make the repair complete. This job took me about one hour to cut the hole and replaced the screw that had fallen out from the pocket door track. I then use some quick setting drywall plaster plus some fiberglass drywall tape to fix the wall. This took another hour to finish the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little more easy to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have troubles falling and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually add to the depth of the door or excessive moisture in the home over long amounts of time may also make the doorway to swell keeping it from opening correctly.
