Pocket Sliding Glass Patio Doors - Just a couple of months ago I went over to repair a pocket door that was closing at a bizarre angle. This was the very first time I'd ran into this kind of scenario and was undoubtedly confused. I got a flashlight and began looking within the pocket door frame. I had a hard time discovering the problem but when I did it was obvious.

As the pocket door was skidding closed it works flawlessly but when you went to open it the base of the door would stick out about an inch and a half. There is no way to achieve the screw as it absolutely was at that back of the pocket door frame close to the framing.

As a way to fix the pocket door issue, I had been going to need to remove a good sized area of the plastered wall at the upper right hand corner of the pocket door frame. This was the only thing I would require a wall patch that is simple and could think of plus some paint to help make the repair whole. I then use some quick setting drywall plaster and some fiberglass drywall tape to correct the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall correctly.

Some pocket door troubles are a little easier to repair than this one. Most pocket doors seemed to have troubles sliding and eventually are left closed, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually increase the thickness of the door or the doorway to swell keeping it from opening correctly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the house over long amounts of time.
