Security Pocket Door Hardware - Just a few months back I went over to fix a pocket door that was closing in a bizarre angle. This was the first time I'd ran into this kind of scenario and was definitely lost. I began looking in the pocket door frame and got a flashlight. I had difficulty discovering the problem but when I did it was obvious.
As the pocket door was slipping shut it would work flawlessly but when you went to open it the bottom of the door would stick out about an inch and a half passed the door jam. There was not any method since it was at that very back of the pocket door frame near the framing, to achieve the screw.
To be able to fix the pocket door difficulty, I had been going to need to remove a good sized area of the plastered wall in the upper right-hand corner of the pocket door frame. This was the sole thing I would require a wall patch that is simple and could think of plus some paint to really make the repair whole. Then I use some fiberglass drywall tape and some fast setting drywall plaster to correct the wall. This took another hour in order to complete the drywall correctly.
Some pocket door troubles are a little more easy to fix than this one. Most pocket doors appeared to have troubles falling and eventually are left shut, never to be utilized again. Painting the doors over and over again can actually increase the thickness of the door or the doorway to swell preventing it from opening correctly can be also caused by excessive moisture in the home over long periods of time.
